Welcome to OutWest Hounds

OutWest Hounds is located in Southern Oregon. 

11 years ago I was introduced to the world of hound hunting.  OutWest Hounds has come a long way since then.

We are home of Big Game Treeing Walkers.  I looked hard at many different lines and even the different breed of dogs. Yet, still here are the original lines that I started with. 

I use my dogs on bobcat and fox with the occasional coon hunting. My dogs and their offspring have been used in different states, on different game. They have proven themselves to be adaptable with what I ask them to do.

To be here I need a dog with brains, nose, the tree power, conformation and last but certainly not least, the speed in which to tree my desired game. They are not perfect dogs, but have shown me what I need to see out of them.
